Terminal Planner
Use the Terminal Planner to plan loadings, discharges, maintenance, team coverage, and expected stock movement in one shared 14-day calendar.
Open it from Terminals > Planner.
Fast Workflow
- Select the terminal chips you want to plan. At least one stays selected.
- Search or filter by member to narrow the board.
- Pick a storage group only when you need stock, consumption, and incoming figures.
- Add operations with the + button on the target day.
- Drag an operation to another day, or open it and use Move or Duplicate.
- When real terminal work is completed, check linked operations and synced quantities.
- Use the share icon to copy a read-only planner link.
TIP
Clear the storage group selector for a plain operations calendar. Select it again when stock figures matter.
What Each Control Does
| Control | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Terminal chips | Show one, several, or all managed terminals. |
| Search | Find by vessel, product, terminal, reference, quantity, type, supervisor, or team. |
| Member filter | Show work assigned to one supervisor or team member. |
| Storage group | Show stock, consumption, and incoming discharge quantities. |
| Today / arrows | Jump to today or move the 14-day window. |
| Activity | Review changes and restore recent deletions when available. |
| Settings | Manage storage groups or temporarily edit past operations. |
| Share | Copy a read-only public planner link. |
Plan an Operation
Click + on a day to create an operation, or click a card to edit it. Fill the fields that make the job easy to recognize:
- Terminal and Type: loading, discharge, or maintenance.
- Product, Vessel, Start Time, and Quantity (MT).
- Reference Number, Supervisors, and Team for filtering and audit history.
- Confirmed when the operation is accepted rather than tentative.
Cards show time, confirmation state, product, type badge, terminal, quantity, vessel, reference, supervisor, and team.
Product Colors
Planner card colors come from the selected product's Planner color in Master Data. Update it from Master Data > Products > Planner color when products are hard to tell apart on the calendar.
If a product has no planner color, the card uses a default color for its operation type. Operations without a product appear neutral gray.
Move, Copy, or Remove Work
- Drag in grid view to move work to another day. Confirm the new date and start time before saving.
- Move changes the date and keeps the current start time.
- Duplicate copies the operation to a chosen date and start time (defaults to the next day at the same time), then opens the new copy for editing.
- Delete soft-deletes the operation. Open Activity if you need to restore a recent deletion.
Past days are read-only by default. To correct them, open Settings > Edit past events, make the change, then turn it off again.
Completed Operation Sync
When a terminal operation is marked Completed, DirectPort tries to link it to an existing planner operation. It only links when there is exactly one matching planner card with the same terminal, product, loading/discharge type, vessel, and local date of the first operation shift.
After linking, the planner quantity is replaced by the terminal operation's total transferred weight from its shifts. The edit modal then shows the linked operation, its status, and an Open operation link.
WARNING
The sync is a completion reconciliation, not automatic planning. It does not create a planner card, and it skips ambiguous matches.
Use Storage Figures
Storage figures are optional. Use them when planners need expected stock by operational bucket.
| Figure | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Stock | Expected stock at the start of the planning day. Today's incoming and consumption affect tomorrow's stock. |
| Consumption | Planned daily usage for the storage group. |
| Incoming | Total counted-product discharge quantity planned for that day. |
Create or edit groups from Settings > Manage storage groups. A group can apply to All terminals or one terminal, can include any storage units that belong in the same planning bucket, and must list the products that contribute to incoming figures.
Click the pencil beside stock or consumption to adjust a day. Blank fields keep the carry-forward calculation; entered values override stock or consumption from that day onward.
WARNING
Incoming comes from Discharge operations for the group's counted products. If it looks wrong, check operation type, terminal, product, and quantity.
Share and Audit
Use the share icon beside Operations Calendar to copy the read-only public link. Viewers can search, filter, and choose a storage group, but cannot edit.
Use Activity to answer "what changed?" It shows recent creates, updates, deletes, moves, confirmations, who made them, and when. Use View all events for the full audit log.
Common Fixes
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| I cannot edit a past operation | Enable Settings > Edit past events temporarily. |
| Cards are hard to distinguish | Set each product's Planner color in Master Data. |
| A completed operation did not link | Check terminal, product, type, vessel, and first-shift date. There must be exactly one matching planner card. |
| Quantity changed after completion | Linked planner quantities sync to the completed operation's total transferred shift weight. |
| A team member is missing | Add or update them under terminal members, then refresh the planner. |
| Stock figures disappeared | Select a storage group. Clearing the selector intentionally hides figures. |
| A storage group is missing | Check whether it is linked to a terminal outside your selected terminal chips. |
| Incoming is too low | Confirm discharge operations have quantities and the correct terminal and counted product. |
| Search hides an operation | Clear search and the member filter; both filters apply together. |
| Dragging does not work | Dragging is available in grid view. On compact/mobile layout, open the operation and use Move. |
